ISLAMABAD: TikTok, in partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has officially launched a dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) feed in Pakistan.
The new STEM feed offers a curated stream of short, high-quality educational videos aimed at promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics learning. It is designed to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and expand digital learning opportunities for students, teachers, and young professionals across the country.
As part of the initiative, TikTok will also collaborate with leading academic institutions to train educators and content creators, enhancing the quality of STEM-related content in English, Urdu, and regional languages.
IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the initiative reflects the government’s vision of using digital platforms to improve education and skill development.
She noted that TikTok’s STEM feed is an example of how technology can democratize access to knowledge and empower youth, particularly female students, to explore new career opportunities in science and technology.
Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar welcomed the partnership, calling it a step toward making science and technology more accessible and engaging for young learners.
TikTok’s Head of Public Policy, Fahad Mohammad Khan Niazi, said the platform aims to “inspire and educate through creativity and support the growth of Pakistan’s local STEM creator community.
