The University of Karachi announced the results of its latest admission test, where only 2,828 out of 7,226 candidates passed — a success rate of just 39%. Most students scored between 50 and 60 marks, while 29% scored between 60 and 70. Only 263 candidates managed 70 or above, and just 20 students scored between 80 and 90 marks. No one scored above 90.
The test was held for 20 disciplines, including Pharmacy, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Studies.
In other news, the University of Karachi has inaugurated the Centre of Digital Forensic Science and Technology (CDFST) — Sindh’s first university-based digital forensic facility. The Rs. 308 million centre includes modern labs, classrooms, and offices and aims to promote research, training, and cybersecurity education. Academic activities will begin soon.
