PBTE ends admissions in vocational boys and evening programs from 2026-27

The Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) has issued a notification announcing the discontinuation of admissions in Vocational Boys one-year and two-year programs, as well as Evening Extension Programs, starting from the academic session 2026-27.

According to the notification dated November 3, 2025, the decision has been made in accordance with the National Registration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for TVET Institutes-2024, notified under F. No: 3(1)2024-R&A-NSoPs/216 on December 4, 2024.

PBTE has instructed all public and private institutes not to admit students in these programs from the next academic session. The notification further clarified that only courses authorised by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) will remain applicable for academia and assessment activities.

However, students currently enrolled in the existing and previous sessions will be allowed to complete their studies and avail the prescribed number of examination chances as per the Assessment and Promotion Rules.
